definitely committed


a beloved sent me these words o' Goethe a decade ago and i am living them and held up by them as i take a gigantic leap in my life. i am tapping into my genius - so bold i am being. i am committed. definitely committed. i welcome, embrace and give thanks for Providence's movements.
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans; that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no one could have dreamed would have come [her] way. yes...it is true when you commit magic does happen. many blessings on your new ventures.
this is another quote i love by franz kafka "if we align with our purpose, the universe will roll at our feet in ecstasy." align! align! good wishes.

I had recently written a short version of this quote in my journal - as I have had trouble in the past committing to creative work... I do love the long version too and shall include it.

Synchronicities aligning, as this part of the quote suggests: "A whole stream of events issues from the decision raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no one could have dreamed would have come [her] way."

For example, I did a random google search of my name and your blog popped up with one of my poems quoted (what an honor!) and then I find there are other connections such as my having just discovered Elizabeth Gilbert and her TED talk (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86x-u-tz0MA) where she talks about, among other things, finding one's genius!

and on and on and on...
