more than anything

a smile found on the sidewalk of my city

while standing in the bathroom and facing the mirror after meeting with a. on tuesday morning she came to me - affirming what i'm currently claiming - and said, "more than anything, more than any thing, i want you to have your joy, my gemmie. more. than. anything."
with tears rising and rushing forward i told her, "i know. i know..."
i'm claiming my joy. what are you claiming?

your joy is so bright-- it is shining so far. i can see the golden gleam of it!
i'm claiming ~balance~ in tricky rope-bridge days.

I am claiming power and the knowledge that I am becoming who I want to be. I have had a few instances lately where I fretted over an issue and then when I really had to step up and deal...I did...and gracefully. I am trying to be more gentle with myself and give myself encouragement.
Thank you for asking this question....it feels good to answer!

i am claiming who i am and the talents i have... i've always been modest and dismissed them but i have skills and great qualities and i am finally owning them.

i'm claiming my hearing...listening when those voices of love we all hear from the mirror or from a painting or from a piece of writing or from a hummingbird, etc., guide us in our direction of truth...

(i am very good at hearing the other voice... the one that criticizes and convinces and taunts... )... so i am claiming and re-claiming and pro-claiming my hearing...

and i am so inspired to see you are claiming your joy!
